The Evolution of Wigs: 21 Years of Comfort and Style

The Evolution of Wigs: 21 Years of Comfort and Style Placeholder

This September, our company is turning 21! To celebrate our anniversary, we decided to look back and remember how wigs have evolved over these years.

From stiff "skin" to weightless monofilament

Previously, a rather stiff and noticeable material was used to imitate the scalp in wigs. Over time, the industry shifted to monofilament — a remarkably thin, breathable fabric. And for those with the most sensitive skin (which is especially important with hair loss), the monofilament is now often covered with an additional soft layer. It doesn't itch at all and provides absolute comfort for the whole day.

The Hairline Revolution

Remember the old wigs with thick, unnatural bangs designed to hide the edge of the cap? Today, there is no need for that. Lace Front material (the invisible frontal mesh) has evolved incredibly. Now, top brands use the finest Swiss Lace. It literally melts into the skin, allowing you to confidently style the hair away from your face.

The Luxury of Hand-Tied Caps

Twenty years ago, the core assortment consisted of machine-wefted wigs (at best, with a small monofilament section on the crown). Now, we are proud to offer more and more 100% hand-tied models. In these caps, every single hair is tied to a stretchy, soft mesh by hand. Such wigs are incredibly lightweight, mold perfectly to the shape of your head, and allow you to part the hair in any direction.

A New Life for Synthetic Fiber

Forget about the unnatural, doll-like shine! The quality of modern synthetic hair is flawless — it looks and feels just like healthy natural hair. And the introduction of heat-friendly synthetic fiber has given our clients the freedom of creativity: now you can curl or straighten your favorite wig with hot tools to match your mood.

Color as Art

The era of flat, single-tone colors is in the past. The color palette has become amazingly diverse. In modern collections, you will find complex salon-quality techniques: soft balayage, delicate highlights, rooted shades, and face-framing bright pieces that beautifully refresh your look.
